Family Adventure to Mapua on the Great Taste Trail

This is a deal for mum, dad (or minimum 2 adults) and two children (age 2-11 years)

Hop on Tasman’s Great Taste Trail at Nelson Airport; enjoy a leisurely 26 km cycle through the coastal wetlands to Mapua (about 2 hours excluding stops) Grade 1 easy. On the way visit award winning wineries, cafes, restaurants, cheese shop, visit an art glass blowing studio, perhaps spot some of the estuary’s myriad of migratory and native birds.

Enjoy the beautiful white sand beach at Rabbit Island before you cross from Rabbit Island on the cycle ferry to Mapua. Great choice of cafes here for lunch or simply enjoy the best fish and chips at Mapua Wharf followed by a fresh berry icecream. You will be transported back to your accommodation in Nelson. Grade 1 and 2 cycling
